Frequently Asked Questions

Who should attend Inspiring Leaders?

Inspiring Leaders is aimed at Senior leaders &/or individuals in organizations on track to become top level managers.

In larger organizations, we are potentially looking at members of the C-suite and other top-level managers. Depending on the size and complexity of organization, executive vice presidents and division heads might also be part of the top management team.

As a guideline, if your annual turnover is less than $11 million, we would suggest that it would be appropriate that your CEO or at least one C-suite executive attend Inspiring leaders.

Smaller organizations may not have this structure. For smaller or non-traditionally structured organizations,  Inspiring Leaders is geared to those individuals in your organization who are senior managers.

All organizations should have 2-3 participants from the CEO’s direct reports. These will be the direct leads for L3 members who might join.

I am interested in enrolling in Inspiring Leaders. How do I know if it is right for me?

Inspiring Leaders is aimed at individuals who are in positions of senior management, or on track to become senior managers. If this describes your position, then Inspiring Leaders is for you.

If you work in an environment that uses different descriptors or where the positions are not as clearly defined, this program may still be for you.

Below are some questions you can ask yourself to help you discern your suitability. But get in touch with us, and we will be happy to talk to you and determine your suitability for participation.

Where are you situated in your organization’s structure? Are you the CEO, the business owner, the Vice-president, a senior department head, or the equivalent?

To whom do you report, if you report?

Are you responsible for the direction the organization takes
-overall? -for a sector or department within an organization?

Are you responsible for motivating others? To what extent? and how many?

Are you the person who makes final decisions on core aspects of your organization’s work?

Why are you interested in Inspiring Leaders? What would you hope to gain from attending the forum?

Get in touch with us and we can arrange a phone call or a brief meeting to discuss your attendance.

I'd like to enroll one of my employees. How do I choose who to send?

Inspiring Leaders has been developed to support Senior Leaders and those on track to become senior leaders.

We feel most organizations will benefit most by sending at least 2-3 people from L1, & L2.

If your organization is large enough and has a number of people at this level, we would suggest that you choose more than one person.

In smaller organizations, the most senior managers may benefit from Inspiring leaders. C-suite executives are welcome to attend.

In larger organizations, Inspiring Leaders would certainly welcome any C-suite executives but most likely, the organization may prefer to send level 2 executives or others from the CEO’s direct reports.

Please get in touch with us and we will be happy to talk with you about your organization’s needs and how to choose people to attend.

Some possible configurations in choosing who to send are as follows:

—————————————–

1 Level One attendee,  senior executive or c-suite level.
AND
2 Level Two attendees, Managers/department heads/ or similar positions, people who are immediately below the most senior level of management and on track to become a senior manager.

L1+L2 +L2

——————————————

2 or 3 Level Two attendees

L2+L2 (+L2)

——————————————

2 Level Two attendees plus

1 Level Three attendee, who is on the promotion track.

L2+L2+l3

——————————————

1 Level Two plus 3 Level Three attendees

L2+L3+L3+L3

What do you mean by a Senior Manager?

Senior managers are those ultimately responsible for the long-term success of the organization. They are the people who set long-term goals and define strategies to achieve them.

Inspiring Leaders’ Forum aims to support individuals at this level of operation.

Such people may include C-suite executives, presidents, and similar, etc. at Level 1 (L1).

At level 2 (L2), we are talking about those at the V level (Vice President etc.) and individuals from the CEO’s (or equivalent’s) direct reports. That is, a person who reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer or their equivalent from time to time.

We are open also to including some participants at Level 3 (L3).  We will assess each L3 nominee on an individual basis. We will only accept those who can be a peer in the room.
